A Fine 19th Century Indian ivory chess set, the one side left natural, the other side left natural with stained green bases, the pawns to one side as musketed infantrymen, the other side sword wielding sepoys, the king 15cm. high, the pawn 9cm. high, contained in a Sidali inlaid games box with chess board to the exterior and backgammon board to the interior 46cm. wide.
A graduated vari-coloured stone and paste bead necklace, an ivory brooch carved as a rose, a butterfly brooch and an insect brooch, also a quantity of costume jewellery, including bead and other necklaces, earrings, chains, bangles, brooches and sundry contained in a jewellery box and a tin.

An impressive Chinese rectangular jade table screen, probably Jiaqing period, of pale celadon/white tone, one side carved in relief with a riverside landscape with scholar on the nearer shore looking over at a smaller figure beyond, the other side with a butterfly hovering over a chrysanthemum emanating from an ornamental rock, approx 22cm x 15.5cm (small chip to lower corner), on a slotted hardwood stand with inlaid silver wire archaistic borders, framing carved green stained ivory and carved boxwood panels and galleries, pierced with peaches and the Three Friends of Winter (bamboo, pine and prunus), total height approx 35cm. A Chinese Canton export ivory puzzle ball and stand, late 19th Century, the ball exterior carved and pierced with dragons and vapours, enclosing twelve concentric balls, the stand with figural column on a foliate base, height approx 33.5cm, together with a similar smaller ivory puzzle ball.
A Chinese Canton export ivory folding fan, late 19th Century, the guards carved in relief with figures, pavilions and tree above flowers, the sixteen sticks pierced with a vignette of figures in a village scene, supporting a silk embroidered panel, one side filled with a cockerel, ornamental pheasant and sparrows amongst flowers, the other side with birds and insects flying about a blossoming branch, beneath lines of black text, also inscribed `Darjeeling 10th June 1891`, the end applied with feathers, length approx 27.7cm.
