A Pair of Late 18th Century Continental Porcelain Cachepots with stands, possibly Ansbach, each decorated with birds and flowers on ivory ground, painted marks, each 8.75ins high Cachepot with peacock - this has a vertical hairline crack running from the rim to the base. Externally this is obvious, internally an attempt has been made to disguise it with paint. A small area of gild above this crack, both to the inner and outer rims, shows some wear, recolouring. Other cachepot shows very similar damage with an extended hairline crack from rim to almost base. This too has had some painting to the interior. One stand has been cracked in half and re-stuck. The rim at one end of this crack shows some loss which has been made up and repainted and re-gilded. Overall there is some very light scattered wear to the gilt detail. The painted enamels in general terms appear to be in good condition.
