The Midget was introduced in 1961 and underwent numerous changes over the years on the same style body shell with engine sizes ranging from 948cc up to 1500cc. The Midget 1500 was introduced in 1974 to meet the stringent Federal regulations to make cars safer. This car underwent major restoration in 2002. It is finished in British racing green with ivory cedar. The driver's seat has been changed at some point to make the drive more comfortable.
An Indian Carved Ivory and Gilt Metal Mounted Two-Handled Pedestal Vase, circa 1900, the ovoid body worked on one side with a procession of figures carrying palanquins and an elephant with howdah, by palm trees approaching a temple, on the other with a more defined view of a Hindu temple with worshippers and adherents below, with an upper open pierced spiralling floral tape design, the base with a broad band worked with fronds, leaves, a gaur skull and horns, and a sambar skull and horns, with acanthus sheathed handles and foliate decorated wrythen circular foot, 25.5cm high Metal base loose from socket of main ivory vase - this would require refixing. Some small elements of the vase carved detail are chipped, eg some leafage in the trees, palm tree leaves, but is generally very good, and the neck mount and handles are good. Very slight discolouration of the ivory. Some salt pitting to neck. 050615
