A silver three-piece tea set by T.P.R. & Co. of Bombay, probably late 19th century. The teapot, sugar bowl and cream jug of oval form, on bun feet, decorated with a band of Indian deities within cusped medallions surrounded by scrolling foliage, the handles modelled as elephant heads with long trunks. The teapot with hinged lid surmounted by finial in the form of a figure of Shiva upon an elephant, the handle with ivory insulators, each with maker's mark 'T.P.R. & Co., Bombay' to base.
A 19th century Sword Stick (originally a coaching whip), having a cane shaft with a concealed triangular bladed sword and an ivory top which unscrews to reveal a secret compartment. A 19th century Chinese ivory flask and cover carved with dragons amongst flowers, with fo dog and pup finial, the cover unscrews to reveal a connected chain with two monkeys hanging from it, 5.5cms (2.2ins) high. Reference Woolley & Wallis sale 22nd May 2019, lot 706 and the Victoria & Albert Museum, reference no. A.926-1910 for similar pieces.
