Late 19th Century Ivorine Fan, in the 18th century style, with pierced and carved sticks, showing a Chinoserie style group of two young women seated beneath pagodas, and flautist's and floral motifs carved to the guards, paper leaf is hand painted to both sides with figures in 18th century costume eating in a woodland, and an amorous couple to the reverse seated by a river, 29cm, in a fabric mounted card fan box labelled 'Coup Palais-Royal'Some staining to the sticks and wear to the guards. Wear along the folds of the mount, couple of rips and tears to each side (near the guards), one possibly been repaired. Staining to the reverse of mount, along the folds. Sticks and guards are not bone or ivory, we believe them to be an ivorine

Mid 19th Century Marriage Fan, on slender late 18th century carved and gilded ivory sticks and guards, with diamanté rivet; double paper leaf printed with a lithograph depicting four young women seated by a tree with two suitors awaiting their attentions, 28cm Provenance: confirming a marriage fan by the attached handwritten note, written in Italian dated 1849Gilding rubbed to sticks and guards. Cracks to the each of the guards, behind the pierced decoration, it has also been repaired here aswell. Wear to the paper folds, gilding rubbed, small splits to the top of the mount along the folds. Several small repairs.
Circa 1860s Brussels Lace Fan, mounted on carved ivory sticks inlaid with steel, the bobbin lace applied to machine net and backed with cream gauze, 28cm; Mid 19th Century Telescopic Fan, pink silk leaf applied with unusually shaped silver sequins, mounted on wooden sticks clouté with steel, 19cm (2)Brussels fan - Some discolouration to the fan especially to the top trim. Some of the inlaid steel spots are missing, backing gauze is split and discoloured. One of the guards is chipped. Telescopic fan - Pink silk faded and several small stains, splits to the upper edge along the folds. Some tarnishing to sequins. One wooden guard has been repaired, the other has a split.
Early 20th Century Mother of Pearl Fan, with gauze leaf hand decorated with rows of pastel coloured flowers, alternating with rows of sequins, 22cm, in a card box; A Court Presentation Fan, comprising three large cream ostrich feathers mounted onto an ivory handle, 65cm (2)Sequin fan - few brown spots at the bottom of the mount, where the sequins have tarnished. Ostrich feather fan - slight discolouring to the handle, and slight wear to the feathers.
A 19th Century Ivory Fan, delicately carved with flower heads to the guards and Chinese figures to the guards, with a cream silk mount embroidered to both sides, one with exotic birds amongst bamboo, 29cm, in a card Asprey fan box 16 sticks and 2 guards. One stick broken to the upper part, two others have very small holes/faults. Both guards show a couple of tiny chips, discolouring and some rubbing. The mount has slight wear.
