Two silver rattles, napkin ring and two vesta cases. One rattle in shape of Peter Rabbit, plastic teether. The other a little girls head with bells around it, ivory ring and soother. The napkin ring has angular shape. One vesta case has unusual shape with ridged detailing. The other is intricately engraved with floral motifs. All hallmarked. Largest 16cm.

Ferdinand Preiss (1882-1943) a cold-painted bronze and ivory figure ‘Pierrette’ c.1925, signed on bronze hexagonal base F Preiss Modelled, cast and carved as a young woman wearing a red conical hat and a pleated dress, on an hexagonal bronze base mounted on an octagonal marble plinth 18 cm high Literature: Bryan Catley, 'Art Deco and other Figures', Antique Collectors Club, Suffolk, 1978, p268 (similar figure illustrated)Ivory: small chip to the edge of the brim of the hat to the side/back. Some colour touch-up in places to the hat, including the chip, with some flaking to the original colour as well. There is a possible tiny loss to top of one finger? but it could be just how it is carved - not seen with naked eye.Bronze: a tiny indentation to top edge of one fold on the front of the skirt. Overall the cold-painted colour is in good condition, with some rubbing to high points. Marble: some tiny chips and nicks to the bottom edge of the plinth, with light natural wear to the underside.Please note that this lot contains ivory.
