The apostle spoons are all in good condition. They have surface scratches and are very tarnished, but there is no serious damage. All the hallmarks are legible. The box is badly damaged, with broken hinges and a large crack in the lid. he desert knives and forks also have surface scratches, areas of tarnish, and marks. Some of the ivory handles are cracked and split. All the hallmarks are clearly legible. he dressing table jar is in good condition. There are scratches and some shallow dents to the lid. The lid fits well onto the jar. There are a number of hairpins in the jar. The hallmark is clearly legible. he pepper shaker has some bad cracks to the bottom of the glass. The lid is very dented, particularly on the tip. There are lots of scratches, marks and tarnish to the silver. Art deco oval formed butter dish with stepped detail and engine turned decoration, raised on four pierced scroll feet and ivory handles. Length measures 7ins (18cm), weight 4.775ozt (148.53gms). Hallmarked Crisford & Norris 1937. There are slight surface scratches to the whole of the butter dish. There are a number of shallow dents to the edge of the dish, but these are not serious. The ivory handles are in good condition, as is the engraved decoration. The hallmark is rubbed but legible. Overall the dish is in good condition.
A Victorian cased set of six pairs of fish eaters with floral engraving to the blades and forks, ovolo decoration to the handle mounts, ivory handles (possibly treated). Hallmarked Sheffield 1895, also stamped R F M. The fish servers are all in excellent condition. They all have very slight surface scratches to them caused by general use, but no serious damage. There are some small areas of tarnish on some of them, and a few of the knives have tiny notches to the blades. The hallmarks are all clear and unrubbed. The box is showing very few signs of wear, although there is some dust and dirt collected on the inside.
Ivory and metal telescopic eye glass, engraved 'W. Harris & Co 50 Holborn London and at Hamburg' and 'Rev J H Skrine Teddington'. Together with a pair a mother of pearl and metal opera glasses. (2). The eye glass is in good condition. There are surface scratches to the glass, ivory and metal, but no serious damage. There is dirt to the edge of the glass by the metal. There are scuffs and some deeper scratches to the metal where the eye glass closes up. The eye glass folds and unfolds easily. he opera glasses have some slight surface scratches to them, and the metal is rubbed and worn. The focussing mechanism works well. The handle folds out but does not stay extended, and appears to be missing something off the end. The glass is dirty, and there are build-ups of dirt in places on the glasses. The glasses are marked 'IRIS PARIS', and are stamped with an 'I' inside a six-pointed shape.
A miniature ivory hinged purse with white metal inlayed detail and mounts, vacant cartouche. Length measures 2 3/4ins (7cm). The exterior of the purse is in reasonably good condition. There are marks, stains, and scratches to the ivory, and the metal, but no serious damage. The metal is tarnished in places. The inlaid decoration is clear and unrubbed. The clasp and hinge of the purse are in good working order. The inside is very battered. The fabric is stained and dirty, and the two outer pockets have torn through to the outside. There are two large patches of dirt. The clasp for the fastening inner pocket still works, but is a little bent and rusty.
