Pair of Kashan Prayer Rugs Central Iran, circa 1930 Each with a deep indigo field and tree in bloom beneath the Mihrab framed by madder spandrels and meandering vine borders flanked by ivory guard stripes, 204cm by 130cm . Rug 1. one end with piled section complete but web fraying and missing sections. One end nearly complete but small area of losses into outer blue guard stripe. Selvedges both complete. Pile evening low. Rug 2 - one end with web fraying and areas missing/. Pile section complete. Selvedges both complete. Pile low, evenly low.

Both ends complete. Selvedges - original and tiny area of slight damage approximately 7cm. Pile good quality. Close clipped wool. Small area of slight inactive moth damage.

A 19th Century Chinese Export Black Lacquered and Gilt Decorated Cabinet, richly decorated throughout with figures in a landscape, the swan neck pediment above two cupboard doors with moulded panels enclosing an arrangement of drawers, above two hinged leaves enclosing a fitted interior of compartments, on cabriole legs with carved claw feet, 67cm by 66cm by 168cmStructure - legs very weak. Right hand cupboard door internally small split. Central hinge door hinges detached. Glass panel damaged. Internal drawers five ivory handles missing. Hinged leaves faults and losses around the corners. Top surface is rather worn. Further scuffs and faults around the corner of the table and legs.
An Edwardian Silver Four Piece Tea and Coffee Service with Kettle on Stand En-Suite, James Dixon & Son, Sheffield 1901/02, rounded rectangular with straight gadroon border on ball feet, part fluted and decorated with a band of flowers, foliage and scrolls, a vacant reserve to either side, the kettle stand with detachable silver spirit burner, the teapot 28cm long, the kettle 31.5cm high, 114.1ozt (5) . All pieces correctly marked, covers, wing nuts, handles, pins to stand an burner all part marked. Many of the marks with some light-medium wear. Ivory insulators to coffee pot and teapot. Some play in the teapot handle. Light scratch top of teapot but generally in good order. The coffee-pot is marked for 1902, the other pieces are marked for 1901.
A George III Silver Three Piece Tea Service, Michael Starkey, London 1809/10, rounded rectangular and part fluted, with gadroon rim and foliate capped handles, engraved with initials, the teapot 25cm long, 37.5ozt (3) The marks on the teapot and the cream-jug are clear. There is some wear to the marks on the sugar-bowl. There is some surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The finial on the teapot is bruised and doesn't sit flat. There is some bruising to the ball feet and some have probably been reattached. There have possibly been some repairs to the fluting on the teapot. The ivory insulators have some discolouration and minor cracks.
A Victorian Silver Five Piece Tea and Coffee Service, Elkington & Co, Birmingham 1873, oval with bead borders, elaborate engraved borders and vacant oval reserves, the coffee pot 22.5cm high, 75.7ozt (5). All clearly marked to underside of base, covers and handles part marked. Ivory insulators and finials. Engraving crisp, no signs of any erasures or thinning. Bruise to one side of the teapot and some knocks to the coffee pot in one area and the handle of the coffee pot. Pin to lower end of coffee pot lacking.
A George III Silver Teapot, William Burwash & Richard Sibley, London 1807, squat circular and part fluted, engraved with a crest of a running fox on a coronet, 27.5cm long, 24.1ozt Fully marked under base and part marked inside cover. The handle is apparently unmarked and is probably a later replacement. In generally good condition with some surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to the engraving. The ivory insulators on the handle have some cracking and discolouration.
A William IV Silver Teapot, Charles Fox, London 1830, squat circular melon fluted form with foliate embellishments, the hinged cover with melon finial, on shell bracket feet, 31cm long, 25.8ozt . Clear marks to underside, the handle, cover, finial and wing nut all part marked. Pin to upper junction of handle lacking and repair of both handle junctions. Ivory insulators. Some small sideways play in the cover and some light bruising to body. There is an uneven area on one side, perhaps the result of an erasure.
A George IV Silver Teapot, Michael Starkey, London 1821, of circular part fluted form, with elaborate foliate, scroll and shell border, reeded handle and on foliate lion paw bracket feet, engraved with a crest of a demi-lion rampant holding a sword out of a tower and the motto scroll Neque Lux Sine Umber, 26.5cm long, 24.3ozt. Clear marks to underside of base. Cover part marked including makers mark, wing nut and handle part marked. Ivory insulators. Small repair to right hand side of spout. Occasional small knock at widest point. Stands straight.
A Victorian Silver Three Piece Tea Service, Samuel Smily for Goldsmiths Alliance, London, 1869/70, oval with bead borders, elaborate engraved decoration featuring hanging baskets of flowers and fruit, a circular reserve to each side, one engraved with initials, the teapot 28.5cm long, 43.8ozt (3) . Each fully marked near handle or underneath. The teapot further marked inside cover and on handle. The marks have some wear but are still legible. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to the engraving. There are some minor pin dents and some minor bruises to the handle and handle junctions. The ivory insulators are somewhat cracked and discoloured and slightly ill-fitting.
A Victorian Aesthetic Movement Silver Coffee Pot, Edward Charles Brown, London 1880, the cylindrical tapering neck with multiple engraved borders, above an ovoid body engraved with birds, flowers, branches and butterflies in the typical Japanese taste, a monogram to one side and a crest of a hare courant and the motto scroll Spes Vincit Thronum for Winthrop to the other, bamboo moulded spout and handle, 25.5cm high, 23.2ozt . Clear marks to underside, cover and handle part marked. Ivory insulators. The pot is leaning to one side slightly, foot would benefit from straightening. Some bruising around the crest but no erasures or thinning. Handle with a little plat. Hinge to cover in good order.
