There is some very minor wear and surface scratching to case and to the chess pieces. Two of the ivory coloured pieces have minor indenations but they are functioning.

A JAPANESE CARVED IVORY OKIMONO, MEIJI PERIOD, depicting a woman in traditional dress holding a young child with a toy horse in one hand, and a parasol in the other, to a naturalistic base. 18.5cm high CONDITION REPORTThe parasol is very thin with a small (2mm in diameter) hole and another thinning area (2mm in diameter) near the edge. No noticeable hairlines or discolouration.

Fan measures approx. 27cm by 50cm, case measures 37cm by 61cm CONDITION REPORTMould bloom to the reverse of the glass, baize and to the paper with some discolouration to the paper in some areas (mainly to creases), the guards slightly yellowed.
