A good scarce senior forester’s example, the 33 cm blade with etched panel either side depicting hunting scenes and with maker’s squirrel logo. Simulated ivory grips ornamented each side with three gilt acorns, gilt knucklebow joining the pommel in a deer’s hoof design; gilt guard depicting fallen stag. Housed in original black leather scabbard with gilt mounts and acorn frog stud; complete with black leather frog . VGC

German Third Reich Kriegsmarine Officer’s dagger circa 1938-45 by Ernst Pack. & Söhne, Solingen. A good example, the blade etched with sailing ships on both sides, fouled anchor on one and bearing the Siegfried dancer logo. Gilded brass eagle and swastika pommel and crossguard with twist wire bound simulated ivory grip. Housed in its gilt metal hammered pattern scabbard retaining both loose suspension rings. Blade clean, minor storage wear. Complete with rare maker’s strung card label.
A 19th Century Continental ivory snuffbox of rectangular form, the hinged lid inset with an oval mother-of-pearl panel, engraved with a bird amongst foliage, length approx 8cm, together with an ivory figure and a Japanese tortoiseshell circular dish, gilt decorated with two birds flying amidst willow tree branches, diameter approx 14.5cm.
