A late 19th century Chinese fan, with black and gold lacquered sticks and guards, with hand painted paper mount decorated with Chinese figures to both sides, with ivory mounted faces, 28cmMount has split next to one guard, and one stick has broken. Also numerous other splits, mainly along the shoulder, and also along the folds. Painted decoration has rubbed and appears very worn.

Crack to central barrel that pin cushions attach to. Slight wear overall. Ivory figure - glued repair to arm joint. Repair to long sleeve of kimono. Something is missing from her right hand. Some discolouration and wear.

Yellow edging to the lift out tray is split and scuffed, and silk mount worn. Slight wear to the exterior.

A Late 19th Century/Early 20th Century Chinese Carved Ivory Fan, carved sticks depicting figures, and the guards carved with bamboo and leaves, the gauze mount is embroidered in pale coloured silks with blossom and birds, 30cm, in an ebonised fan case, the underside of the lid is hand painted with a pheasant amongst flowers, signed 'Kate' Slight discolouring to the sticks and guards, and some scuffing to the case.
