19th century Black Forest carved lindenwood bear torchère or wine table, the standing bear holding aloft circular dish on carved naturalistic base and bracket feet, 114cm high CONDITION REPORT Worm is quite evident particularly towards base and rear bracket feet have been substantially compromised with large loss to one, partial loss to the other and other associated loss, wont stand unaided. Opening split to left arm and elsewhere some open splits. Ivory (?) teeth absent
19th century Chinese export papier mâché and painted paper fan, painted to both faces with scenes of figures in interiors, each figure with applied painted ivory face, having thirteen shaped lacquered sticks, each with gilt figural and scroll ornament, 28cm high, span when open 51cm, housed within original shaped black lacquer case with gilt heightened decoration CONDITION REPORT Box generally some wear - slight losses to extremities. Minor splits to lacquer. Interior - losses to rice paper lining. Fan - slight splits and creases, particularly to far outer edge, one slightly larger split far left but otherwise slight damage is confined to the border. Decoration fresh, generally good condition

19th century Cantonese carved ivory box with finely pierced figure and landscape decoration, 13cm, tortoiseshell and mother of pearl card case and a pair of Victorian gilt metal scissors in sheath (3) CONDITION REPORT Box - left side of cover is detached but present. Right size has been secured with glue which has discoloured. Similarly left hand side of box has discoloured glue. Slight losses to pierced frieze on back of base far left. Mother of pearl card case - very slight losses to inlays and associated slight repairs. Gilt metal scissors - wear to gilding, otherwise ok
19th century Vizagapatam ivory and tortoiseshell inlaid circular box with circular concentric ornament, 65cm diameter, together with another smaller, a smaller example and two further lidded boxes (5) CONDITION REPORT Box with ten concentric roundels. One roundel with burn mark, some splits to ivory on top, more visible when viewed from reverse, base has central pin hole and associated two splits, screw thread not entirely closing. Other large box - small hole centrally to underside of lid, small hole centrally to base, two splits (closed) to side of box, metal box appears ceased and wont open. Ivory box ok. Small tortoiseshell ivory box - similarly has pin-prick holes to base and cover centrally
