A 19TH CENTURY FLAME MAHOGANY ESCRITOIRE, with a later veined marble top, twin cylindrical tapering pillars flanking a single drawer that drops down to use as a reading slope, above a fall front door, enclosing an assortment of drawers with ivory handles, central pigeon hole, all above a pull out writing slope with a fold over front and green baize lining, the exterior with three graduating drawers, the bottom drawer with slopped drawer front, width 105cm x depth 57cm x height 144cm (condition: appears to have been with a further section to the top, now with marble top, some veneer loss (see images)(some ivory handles missing, one brass escutcheon missing, both pillars loose (two keys)
