A 19thC Cantonese ivory jewellery box of rectangular form, the hinged lid (detached) displaying a shaped panel of undercut decoration depicting numerous figures on garden terraces in varying pursuits, a vacant oval cartouche to centre, the borders covered in shallow Chinese fret carving and with shaped floral carved edges, six smaller panels to the sides, the interior with lift-out ivory tray, lined in red velvet, 9.5” across – top slightly warped, feet missing.
