A Japanese Meiji period carved sectional ivory okimono. Formed as a man with a coolie hat on has back and grasping a peony. Raised on a simple naturalistic pad base. Signed, 21cm. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Lacking something from the base, there is a peg and glue residue. Base of peony stem lacking that should protrude from the back of the figures hand. Some hair cracks. Some separation from shrinkage.

An Art Deco figural bronze, ivory and onyx card tray in the manner of Josef Lorenzl. Formed as a pair of semi clad dancing girls and raised on an oval dished base, 26.5cm wide. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Ivory sections with some shrinkage, slightly loose and with fine hair cracking. Three finger tips missing from one of the raised hands. Bronze of good colour. Some slight chipping to the rim of the onyx.
A very fine Regency rosewood twin pedestal chess table and accompanying carved ivory chess set in the single fitted drawer. The canted gaming top with penwork decoration has a checkered centre board with each square decorated with a flower head and under a wide border of acanthus scrolls and with two panels decorated with Classical farming scenes. The plain frieze is edged with bobbin turned moulding above double baluster supports over a swan neck plinth with further bobbin moulds and raised on squat bun feet, 74.5cm high, 71cm wide, king pieces 12.5cm. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Chess set intact, red king with a chip to the crown, white king finial re glued, red bishop with a rough patch to one side of the reeded column otherwise all pieces in good condition. The table is in overall very good condition. With expected marks and wear. Penwork top has survived remarkably well. Structurally sound. The loop handle to the original key is broken but still functioning.

A nineteenth century Indian Hoshiapur hardwood and ivory inlaid paduka sandal along with another Eastern sandal with mother of pearl inlay. Former 23.5cm. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Paduka with some inlay loss to the heel. The other sandal, its cross strap thought to be a marriage.
