A good Japanese cabinet with blue ground lacquered panels and doors inlaid with ivory and bone and heightened with gold lacquer, width 123cm, height 191cm. (See illustration) Condition Report: Structurally in very good condition. A little damage to the top carved wooden panel with two confronting birds, perhaps where a crest used to be attached. A few missing pieces of mother of pearl. Damage to the carved wooden attachments.
A George III silver compressed melon form teapot profusely embossed with flowers around two cartouches, one vacant, the other decorated with Oriental figures, the finial cast as a pair of courting doves, the spout with grotesque mask terminal, ivory handle, by J.E. Terrey & Co., London, 1819, 30ozs. Condition Report: Appears to be in excellent condition. Slight cracking to ivory handle.
