A GOOD PAIR OF JAPANESE MEIJI PERIOD CARVED IVORY TUSK VASES ON GOLD LACQUER STANDS, the vase sections well carved to depicts scenes of various Japanese figures including some of the seven gods of good fortune; Daikoku, Benzaiten, Bishamon, Ebisu, jurojin, hotei, and Fukurokuju, the tops of each section with smaller panels with carved figure scenes, both stood upon fitted gold lacquer bases, the tusk sections 26cm high x 10.5cm, overall 32.5cm high x 16.5cm.
