GIROUX Paris, 40cm diameterFootnotes:Ferdinand Duvinage (French, 1813-1876) was a designer and director of the Parisian luxury goods store Maison Alphonse Giroux and developed a special pictorial marquetry technique combining ivory, engraved brass and various woods designed called 'une mosaïque combiné avec cloisonnement métallique' which was patented by Duvinage's widow in 1877 and used in the manufacture of all manner of decorative objets d'art including trays, tazze, jardinières and table tops.
