A large late Regency mahogany wheel barometer by F. Amadio & Son of London, the case with satinwood cross banding and edged in boxwood and ebony, the ivory mounted swan neck top with urn finial, over a silvered hygrometer, aneroid thermometer, signed 10in. main dial and level, the dial with engraved sunburst and ivory vernier wheel beneath, 42¾in. (108.5cm.) high.. * Provenance: Gorringes, October 2001.. **Very good overall. Minor dings to edges and light spotting to top right of dial. No other faults.
An Afghan Enssi rug, first half 20th century, the four panels with plant motifs divided by a cross and with floral meander borders, within a conforming outer border and repeating diamond guard, worked in typical shades of madder, grey-brown, ivory and gold, 87 x 48in. (221 x 122cm.).. . *Condition: Some even fading to colours. Some damage to fringe in places to both ends and some old moth damage to pile to two corners and edges. Tiny hole to one corner.

A George III carved mahogany open armchair, the serpentine back and seat upholstered in ivory floral woven silk, over shaped arms terminating in foliate scrolls, the seat rail with bean and foliate carving, raised on channelled square front legs with similar carving and brass castors, united by H and back stretchers, 37¾in. (96cm.) high to back, 17¾in. (45cm.) to seat, 25¼in. (64cm.) wide.
