A painted papier mache snuffer tray, 19th Century, a miniature Cantonese ivory puzzle ball, a carved ivory pill box & cover, a painted horn snuff box, also a painted papier mache desk stand fitted with two glass inkwells, a pair of Chinese papier mache spill holders with gilt chinoiserie decoration, also a Victorian painted papier mache hand held screen. A Cantonese finely carved ivory miniature table cabinet, 19th Century, the whole body, stand and drawer fronts carved, with ptarmigan amongst the undergrowth, the handles carved as various insects, the underside of the cabinet fitted with two tablets with character signatures, with a single character signature tablet fitted to the stand, with a fitted wooden carrying cabinet, 33cm x 21cm.
Five Royal Worcester blush ivory two-handled vases, 1892 to 1903, comprising: a rose jar and cover decorated with thistles beneath a pierced neck, flanked by foliate scroll handles, shape number 1927; a vase with gilt pierced handles and neck, decorated with wisteria, a butterly and a bee, after Edward Raby, shape number 942; a vase with flowers and insects, after Edward Raby, with mask handles, shape number 1716; and a pair of blush ivory vases, each ovoid body decorated, with aquilegia beneath scale-moulded panels and octagonal flared necks tinted in green and orange, the circular bases with scroll moulded detailing again in green and orange, shape number 2256; together with a flatback jug, green and puce printed marks, tallest 25.5cm., 10in., faint hairline to one neck, minor rubbing to gilding and minor restoration, (7).
Four Royal Worcester blush ivory vases and two covers, 1892, the first of bulbous shape decorated with poppies and cornflowers, after Edward Raby, beneath moulded fabric garlands flanked by satyr handles, shape number 1408, domed cover; the second of globular form with flowers and mask terminal handles, shape number 1552; the third of similar shape but smaller, with raised gilt highlights to the flowers, after Edward Raby, which include a butterfly; the fourth of ovoid shape with moulded strapwork and floral sprays flanked by scroll handles, shape number 1618, stepped cover, puce and purple printed marks, tallest 32.4cm., 12.75in., one cover restored, small chip to tip of one handle, (6).
Two ivory plaques, by N. Caputus, dated 1704, depicting Christ falling under the weight of the Cross and the Crucifixion, in cast ormolu frames; and a double-sided reverse glass-painted devotional pendant, depicting a male saint and female martyr, in a gold openwork and filigree frame, probably Spanish, 18th century, the plaques upright rectangular 6.3cm, 2.5in, (3).
A set of four ivory counter boxes, Mariaval le jeune, Paris, circa 1720, each box representing a card suit, with swivelling dial, painted in green, red and yellow and engraved with commedia dell'arte figures, insets and animals, containing numerous differently-shaped 'fish', each width 8.5cm, 3.375in wide, in original silk-lined fishskin case (a lot).
Two ivory figures, the first German, the second probably French, mid to late 18th century, the first carved as William Tell standing with his crossbow, height 12.7cm, 5in; the second as a chubby putto cuddling a faithful hound, the leafy rocky base echoed by the bog oak stand, overall width 10cm, 4in, (2).
