An early 19th century marine chronometer by Brockbank & Atkins, London, No. 1167. The three tiered mahogany case with brass carry handles and ivory plaque with the serial no. 1167, the double lid lifts to reveal the brass bevelled chronometer on gimble bracket. The silvered face has both Roman numerals and two subsidiary dials with Arabic numerals and bears the maker's name in cursive. Two-day, chain driven fusee movement with Harrison maintaining power, spring detent escapement and blued helical hairspring. 16.8 x 15.7 x 15.7 cm. Samuel Andrews (Irish, c. 1767-1807) Portrait of Judith Frushard, profile to the left, wearing a bonnet tied under her chin and a dress with high-collar and bust detailing inscribed to the reverse with the sitter's name and details watercolour en grisaille on ivory 8.46 x 6.90cm (3 x 3in) Judith Frushard was the wife of Thomas Wilkinson, and mother of Ann Wilkinson who married Charles Russell Crommelin in 1774. Some wear to the paint along the edges.
