A souvenir of Eugenie, Empress of the French to whom this fan formerly belonged`, case size 67cm.

By Edwards & Roberts, A 19th Century mahogany and inlaid sofa table, the hinged top crossbanded in rosewood and a narrow band of satinwood, strung with ebony lines, having a moulded edge and rounded corners, containing two short frieze drawers to either side, on solid standard end and reeded dual splayed legs, united by an arched stretcher terminating in brass lions claw cappings and castors, the top 75cm (2ft 5 1/2in) x 136.5cm (4ft 5 3/4in). * The frieze drawer stamped Edwards & Roberts and with a further ivory plate `Edwards & Roberts, Wardour St, 126 Piccadilly, 532, Oxford St, London`.

A Russian gold, enamel, hardstone and ivory baton, the smokey-quartz finial modelled as a chrysanthemum, a cluster of yellow citrines forming the stamens, the gold and translucent green guilloche enamel collar decorated with swags, with tapering ivory shaft, unmarked, two very slight chips to petals of chrysanthemum, overall length 15.75", enclosed within the original silk and velvet lined holly-wood case, with the Imperial Warrant printed in gold. Reputed to have been a gift from Tsar Nicholas II, to the conductor of the Bolshoi Ballet. With a copy of a statement of account, dated 19th December 1946, addressed to Mrs Lucas, Wilmington, High Street, East Grinstead, Sussex, from Wartski, Court Jewellers, 138 Regent Street, London W1, recording that on June 2nd 1945, she purchased "a Topaz Baton" for the sum of £75/0/0
