ELIZABETH II (1926- ) Queen of the United Kingdom 1952- & PRINCE PHILIP (1921- ) Duke of Edinburgh, consort of Queen Elizabeth II. Vintage signed 7.5 x 6.5 photograph by both Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip individually, the image depicting the Royal couple standing together in half length poses on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, accompanied by the young Prince Charles and Princess Anne. Signed ('Elizabeth R') by the Queen, adding the date 1954 in her hand, and signed ('Philip') by the Duke of Edinburgh with his name alone, both in bold, dark fountain pen ink. Matted in cream and framed and glazed in a gold coloured frame to an overall size of 12.5 x 10.5. Together with Louis Mountbatten (1900-1979) British Admiral of World War II. Uncle of Prince Philip. Fountain pen ink signature ('Mountbatten of Burma') on a card, matted in ivory beneath a reproduction image of the Admiral and framed and glazed in a gold coloured frame to an overall size of 8.5 x 12.5. λ A gilt brass and copper crucifix clock case, mid 17th century and later, circular emobossed and chased copper gilt base, pierced and florally engraved upper section to contain the bell of the original movement, the hinged opening cover supporting the engraved and gilded crucifix with skull and crossbowes flanked by cast figures of Mary and John, now with ivory Corpus Christi and surmounted by a revolving crown with engraved and silvered hour chapter ring, blued steel pointer, now fitted with a late 18th century English cylinder timepiece movement signed Richd Clarke, Cheapside, London, no. 534, 13in (33cm) high; with purpose made 20th century travelling case.
A Cultured Pearl Necklace, seventy-three graduated cultured pearls knotted to a cultured pearl and diamond cluster clasp, length 46.5cm. . The necklace is in good condition. It may be advisable to re-string the pearls as it is not known for how long they have been on this string. The clasp has a tongue and box mechanisim and the necklace is also fitted with a safety chain. The catch bears no hallmark nor stamps. The pearls graduate from 4.5mm to 8.0mm approximately. They are ivory coloured with pinkish-green tones. The approximate qualities of the diamond are; carratweight 0.60ct, colour I/J/K, clarity SI2/I1/I2. Gross weight 19.8 grams. CR made 9th June 2015/
A Victorian Silver Mounted Stationary Casket, William Comyns, London 1898, the green leather covered arch shaped box with a hinged cover revealing assorted compartments, the cover applied with a pierced silver cover decorated in repousse with rocaille and cherubs around a centre cartouche; and An Edwardian Patent Writing Slope, S Blanckensee & Sons Ltd, Birmingham 1905, the green leather wedge shaped body with silver mounts, an ivory writing surface, a pull-out porcelain tablet and a compartment and sprung clip to hold a reel of paper over the ivory surface, stamped PATENT 14112 to base, the stationary casket 21cm high Casket - silver generally good but pins holding it to the casket are quite loose so will need re-fixing at some point. Small loss to lower front left. Engraved with a monogram. Desk pad - ivory lifting from slope, leather a little worn. Both good but would benefit from a little TLC.

Ivory with age splits especially to knop. A good heavy service
A Japanese Silver, Enamel and Lacquer Dish, Meji Period, circa 1890, shaped circular, the filigree style pierced border divided into eight and decorated in fan shaped reserves with sprays of flowers in bright polychrome enamel, the central reserve decorated with Shibayama style inlay depicting branches of flowers in a bronze vase, the background ivory, the reverse of the panel lacquered, signed to a central plaque, raised on three bracket feet, 24cm wide Ivory ground split. One foot will need re-attaching as has been resoldered at some point and has detatched. Several small sections of inlay missing. Silver tarnished. No substantial losses to the enamel noticable but when examined under a loup there are a few minor losses.
A George VI Table Service of Silver Flatware, Mappin & Webb, Sheffield 1940/41, Old English pattern, engraved with the initial S, comprising eight each of table forks, dessert forks, dessert spoons, soup spoons, teaspoons, four tablespoons, eight ivory handled table and dessert knives, a three piece carving set and a set of twelve plated fish knives and forks, in a fitted oak canteen 82oz 4dwt 2562g all in. Two date letters. Would benefit from a polish as they are hazey. Good tines. Overall good. Canteen they are contained in is poor.

Link 9 (gold) head of phoenix missing (piece not retained). Link 10 (plumstone) small section of pine tree branch missing. Link 12 (ivory) on figure beheaded (piece not retained) and some other tiny losses amongst foliage. Link 16 (gold) head of phoenix missing (piece not retained). Link 17 (plumstone) small umbrellas of pine tree branch missing/chipped. Link 23 (ivory) tiny losses amongst foliage. The maker's/retailer's mark is clear as is the 18 stamped (not tested). There is also a Chinese character mark to the clasp. The back of some of the ivory panels are slightly stained and one has two slightly stained hairline cracks. Crack across top of screen. One table with one leg cracked. Other table with parts of leg missing. One figure behead, but head retained in small bag. Top of screen with small chip. Stress crack at 6.30 and other small cracks and stains apparent. Slightly yellow throughout. Mounts unmarked. 150615
A Chinese Export Ivory Glove Box, Canton, circa 1850, the bracketed rectangular lid and all sides carved in low relief with extensive pavilion and lakeland landscapes within floral borders, raised on masked bat feet, 26cm by 12.5cm by 9cm Overall slightly discolouration and minor chips and losses. The lid has been reglued to the under frame. The lid has a puncture hole towards the right hand corner. The lock clasp is broken. The lower box has a large chip to the left upper angle. Box base is glued onto the basal plateau. The front panel has a 0.5cm chunk of ivory missing on the left upper angle. Stress crack to the right hand end base panel. Hinges are good. 210515

J. E. CORRIES "Ethel Jenning", miniature portrait study on ivory, signed bottom right, 11 cm x 8.5 cm CONDITION REPORTS Card/paper backing has inscriptions in ink "Ethel Jenning May 19th 1894?" (indistinct) and "Painted by J E Corries ...", back card/paper with various wear and scuffs, remnants of previous fitments, metal fitments at back bent and mis-shapen, some knocks and scuffs to frame, miniature itself has some light general wear, some very slight pitting to to surface, plus a very feint vertical line to the background to the right of the picture - possibly a hairline crack, there are some white paint splodges/deposits to the lower edge of the picture.
EARLY 19TH CENTURY ENGLISH SCHOOL "Gentleman with arms folded in black coat and white stock", portrait bust, miniature oil on ivory, unsigned, 5.2 cm x 4 cm CONDITION REPORTS Overall with some general wear and scuffs, some very slight flaking/scuffing to the very bottom edge of the picture, but otherwise appears in reasonably good condition.
EARLY 19TH CENTURY ENGLISH SCHOOL "Gentleman in black coat with white stock", portrait bust, oval miniature oil on ivory, unsigned, 5.5 cm x 4.5 cm CONDITION REPORTS Frame with some wear and scuffs and some knocks and dents, picture itself appears to have some very minor scuffs including feint scratch/fault line across head/hairline, but otherwise appears to be in good condition.
A turned ivory and stained ivory chess set, the pieces turned by A. W. Jones in the early 80's from the buttons rescued from the organ of The United Reform Church Putney during it's bombing in 1944, one of only two produced, the other owned by Prince Charles, housed in a converted mahogany and birdseye maple music box, together with a modern chess board (Article 10 Certificate No 536579/01) CONDITION REPORTS Some light general wear, some pieces with some slight yellowing, white King is signed to base "A W Jones", small fault/blemish to one of the sections of turning to the white Queen - possibly a fault line in the ivory or blemish within the ivory, and some similar blemishes to the Castle, stained ivory pieces are a dark reddish-brown colour, has some light wear and a few minor scuffs, but overall condition appears to be good. Converted box has lined compartments within, some of the compartments have linings missing. Chess board has some wear and scuffs, and some separating at joins, veneer missing to one side and veneers to other side appear to be of a formica type material and with a plyboard type base.
