A Chinese Hua Li wood and hardstone, ivory and mother of pearl mounted blanket chest, the triple block panel hinged top decorated with a central cartouche of figures before a padoga amidst foliate branches heightened in ivory, bone and green, red and black hardstones, within mother of pearl surround, flanked by an urn of foliage to either side, similarly heightened in coloured hardstones, the oval panel front and quatrelobe panel sides similarly decorated and with a camphorwood lined interior, on bracket feet, 102cm (3ft 4in) wide.
