A North Italian etched ivory inlaid and ebonised bureau in the manner of Ferdinando Pogliani, second half 19th century, the galleried top over a fall front revealing a fitted interior over two cabinet doors, raised on shaped block feet (aged worm and at fault) 80cm wide, 114cm high, 49cm deep NOTE: The engraved ivory figures to this bureau are comparable to those of Ferdinando Pogliani whose Milanese workshop flourished during the 1860s and 1870s and led the North Italian revival of ivory inlay in Renaissance and Baroque style furniture.
