A good quality pre WWI R Navy silver deck watch, 36hr movement, gilt winding knob, maker’s name on dial “R.H. Halford & Sons London” with no “5180”, the name and number repeated inside on the movement with broad arrow and address “129 Fenchurch St EC & 41 Pall Mall, SW, London”, HM London 1904, diam 2¼”, fitted into brass mount with glazed screw on top, all inside mahogany case, 4½” x 3¾” x 2½”, the lid with brass spring catch and inlaid ivory disc with maker’s name, initials “CW” and broad arrow; used for extra navigational purposes in order to avoid disturbing the ship’s clock. Watch VGWO & C (some wear to case).

A Japanese Meiji period carved ivory okimono of a woodcutter, having penwork decoration, signed verso, h.14cm; together with one other of a farmer wearing a circular straw hat, having penwork decoration, unsigned, h.14.5cm (2) Condition Report / Extra Information Woodcutter - loss to top of rope in left hand, vertical shrinkage cracks to back, missing something from top of trunk, fine hairline to forehead, some yellowing all over. Farmer - break to right foot and has been glued, right finger chipped, several fine hairlines, right arm coming loose.
