A Royal Worcester blush ivory twin-handled vase and a Davenport gilt decorated part tea service . Worcester vase with top lacking. With some mild paint scratches, otherwise appears ok. Davenport service comprising twin-handled covered sucrier with a hairline crack to the rim, approximately 5cm. Glaze and firing flaws to the main body, repaired knop to the cover and rubbing. One cake plate in reasonable order. Four saucers, three of which have hairline cracks, all with some rubbing. Seven teacups three of which have hairline cracks0. A pair of German porcelain figures in the Meissen style, a Royal Worcester ivory porcelain butter dish, cover and stand, a Japanese Imari porcelain small charger with cafe au lait ground and a Chinese blue and white porcelain dish. Japanese charger is 31cm diameter with light surface scratches, the outer rim with rubbed gilding and some firing blemishes. Chinese dish is 25cm diameter with several chips to the outer rim
A 19th century Cantonese carved ivory fan, painted with processions of figures and in lacquered case together with a European bone fan, the leaf printed and hand coloured with figures in garden settings (2). Cantonese fan - including Chinoisere laquered box (one hinge broken) some minor splitting to the paper leaf adjoining to the ivory sticks, one area re-glued, three areas split and lifting, ivory sticks in good condition, 27.5cm. European bone fan - showing signs of restoration in two areas of the paper leaf, otherwise colour good, 21cm.
18th century carved ivory fan with pierced sticks and guards painted in gold and silver, silk mounted decorated with gold sequins and embroidery, three hand painted cartouches and other motifs within a gilt decorated border, recto only, 28cm, another similar with stylised pierced sticks and guards, with gold and silver painted decoration, paper mount decorated with figures in a classical Italiante landscape recto and cartouche of a cottage by a lake verso, 27cm (2). Ivory fan silk mount; painted decoration to the sticks and guards is very rubbed overall, majority of the fan folds are split, mount is very rubbed overall and general wear. Similar fan - restore and repair to one guard, split to the other, glued repair to one of the sticks, chips to some of the pierced areas and decoration very rubbed. Mount has some patched repairs, splits and wear to the folds and top of the fan, overall wear.
Circa 1900 Carved Ivory Fan in a Lacquered Hinged Case, with a cream fabric mount silk embroidered with a peacock and birds surrounded by pink blossom, heavily carved guards and pierced sticks, 29cm; Together With a Letter From Hong Kong dated 31 August 1901 from Mr P Atal, Indian Medical Service to Mrs Beal, 'I am taking the liberty of sending you a souvenir (a fan) from Hong Kong and hope you would like it. I am about to return to India with the 3rd Madras Light Infantry. Please remember me to all at 'Dunmeath' (2). Some scuffing and wear to the case, scratches to the painted decoration, chip to the corners. Fan appears in good condition.
Late 18th century carved ivory fan with pierced sticks and guards painted in gold and silver, a paper mount printed with blue and gold cherubs with central cartouche of printed and hand coloured dancing figures recto and verso with contrasting white and gold printed design with figures in Tudor style costume, 27cm . Both guards have been repaired. slight rubbing to the decoration, mount has some wear down the folds and some small tears to the upper/lower parts of it, slight wear.
