λAn Inuit model harpoon with throwing board Greenland cedar, walrus ivory and sinew, the main shaft spliced and with various mounts, the board with fifteen seal models, 96.2cm long. (2) Provenance Polar Explorer Lieutenant Commander Quintin Riley (1905 - 1980) and thence by descent. Quintin Riley was involved in the British Arctic Air Route Expedition of 1930 - 31 for which he received the Polar Medal and returning to Greenland in 1932 to undertake further meteorological and general study of flying conditions.

A Senufo heddle pulley Ivory Coast with a carved hornbill head surmount and red pigment filled incised decoration, with a reel, 18cm high, on a fixed base, a Baule heddle pulley, with a buffalo head finial, 15cm high, a Luba friction oracle katatora, with Janus head finial having a charge recess, 16.5cm and a Mossi whistle, 13cm long.
