Victorian silver three piece tea set - comprising teapot of octagonal form, with reeded and floral decoration and a gadrooned border, domed hinged cover with silver finials and silver scroll handle with ivory insulators, on four ball feet, matching sugar and cream (London 1894), John Newton Mappin, base stamped - Mappin & Webb, London. All at approximately 45ozs, teapot 27.5cm across CONDITION REPORT General overall condition good. Some surface scratching and minor denting and creasing commensurate with age and use. Ivory insulators on teapot are damaged and cover hinge is loose. No signs of major damage or repair. Marks clear. Sugar and cream handles may have been repaired where they join body. Marks slightly rubbed. Ball feet on cream jug are dented

Flesh tones possibly faded, paint slightly thin in places, some slight losses to paint at outer edge, possible associated retouching, surface marks towards outer edge, gilt is worn to reverse and outer edges

Provenance: Purchased from Judy & Brian Harden Antiques, 2002 - offered with copy of the original receipt. Sold Phillips Bond Street, 7th Nov. 2001 lot 444. CONDITION REPORT Not examined out frame, tones are muted are muted, pin-prick paint loss centrally on his coat. Generally speaking condition otherwise appears good. Minor deterioration to hair, back and frame with minor wear commensurate with age but basically good
QUEEN AND RELATED - This lot of five albums features three by Queen and two by Bryan May. Everything is in Ex+ condition and offers a chance to bid on fantastic copies of works by some of the most cherished names in the music business. There is Queen's final album from 1995 "Made in Heaven" (PCSD 167) which is an original UK pressing. This album is a limited edition on ivory coloured vinyl in a gatefold sleeve with three posters and a postcard. There is also a numbered limited edition remastered 1995 reissue of "The Game" (MFSL 1-211) which is on heavy-weight 200 gram vinyl and the original UK pressing of the 1997 compilation "Queen Rocks" (823 0911). This two record release comes in a gatefold sleeve with printed inners. The Brian May releases are original UK pressings and include a rare picture disc release of "Another World" (4949731) and "Back To The Light" (077778640019 with textured sleeve and printed inner).
A Geo naval officer’s dirk, tapered blade 8”, with central fuller for half its length, shaped brass guard with stylized leaf embossed to upper face, tapering turned ivory grip (cracked), brass bun shaped pommel, in top part of sheath with locket and middle band. Basically GC for age, (some wear overall, dark pitting patches to blade).
A small Geo naval officer’s dirk, DE blade 5¾”, with pronounced central fuller, etched and blued and gilt for most of its length with trophies and foliate devices, disc guard with roped edge, ivory grip with prominent bun shaped pommel, in its leather sheath with gilt brass mounts and 2 rings. GC, the blade retaining approx 75% blueing and gilding, the sheath mounts approx 75% gilt. Plate 8

A mahogany case for a DB percussion sporting gun, c 1835, brass hook fasteners, lock and circular lift up handle to lid, original green baize lining inside lid with label of W Mills, 120 High Holborn (1822-43), the base adapted and relined in blue velvet, including small lidded compartment with turned ivory knob. 32” x 9½” x 3” overall. GC (lid cracked).
