An Imperial German naval officer's sword, slender, slightly curved fullered blade 29", with maker's mark and CE at forte, etched with crowned fouled anchor and battleship within foliate panels, plated steel turn up outer shell guard with crowned fouled anchor, turn down inner which clips to locket, oak leaf knucklebow and backstrap to lion's head pommel with red and green eyes (port and starboard), wirebound ivory grip, in its leather scabbard with ornamental plated steel mounts and one hanging strap. Basically GC (some wear and dark patches to blade, some rust to hilt).
A George IV mahogany piano forte, Phillips of Little Tower Hill, London, new patent model of typical form, having rosewood crossbanded edge, ivory keys, full wooden framed and strung movement, pierced fretwork panels, all above three frieze drawers with pressed brass knobs and raised on six ring turned tapering reeded supports with brass cup castors, width 172cm The piano has been consigned for sale by the daughter of the late Leon Goossens, the world famous oboe player and member of the Goossens family of worldwide repute. It was played at many music festivals including Glyndebourne and has remained in the family since the death of Leon in 1988
