An 18th century French Imperceptable ivory fan, the printed paper and over painted leaf depicting a central classical lady holding a torch, flanked by two panels of ladies playing a lyre, each with a winged cherub whispering in their ear, heightened in gilt, with pierced slender sticks and guards, 17cm. long.
A North Italian ivory and penwork inlaid table-top cabinet, the hinged fall front enclosing an arrangement of fitted drawers about a central cupboard door, each drawer decorated with ivory panels and penwork depicting hunting scenes with dogs and falcons, mythological beasts, and neoclassical females, with similar decorated panels to the top and sides, the sliding back panel concealing a further arrangement of plain wood drawers, raised on bun feet, 54cm. wide, some damage.

Portrait Miniature of an Officer of the 8th Light Dragoons, oils on ivory, 73mm x 60mm, with gilt oval mount in red leather hinged case, brass label to lid inscribed ‘Major William Martin, 8th Regt. Light Dragoons B.1776 D.1825’, good condition £400-500 William Martin was appointed Lieutenant in the 8th Light Dragoons on 4 November 1795; Captain, 1 November 1803; Major, 18 August 1816. He appears to have left the army in October 1818 and died in 1825.
