CHINESE CANTON IVORY CHESS SET a late 19thc Chinese export chess set, made in ivory and red stained ivory with the King's and Queen's modelled as Emperors and Empresses, the rooks as elephants with flags, the bishops as Mandarin officials, the Knights as figures on horseback and the pawns as warriors with shields and weapons. With all 32 pieces, some damages and bits missing. King 7.5cms high
PAIR OF JAPANESE IVORY & INLAID PANELS - SIGNED Meiji period, an unusual pair of wooden panels, with various figures in shallow relief - some with birds heads and some with frogs heads. Inlaid in various materials including ivory, bone, and mother of pearl, both signed within a seal mark and with a further signature on one of the figures, some bits missing and some damages.
