Bindings.- Mère (Clément) and Franz Waldraff, binders. [13 volumes of literary classics from the 'Mermaid Series'], bound in green, turquoise or tan morocco, by C.Mère & Waldraff Durvand, covers with inlaid floral panels of stamped and painted calf and ruled in gilt, g.e., marbled silk doublures and endpapers, spines faded, some rubbed especially joints, one spine chipped at head, 8vo, Fisher & Unwin, [c.1910].⁂ Clément Mère and Franz Waldraff were artists and designers who collaborated in making furniture, boxes, bookbindings and other decorative items, using wood, repoussé leather, galuchat (shagreen) and ivory.
