A late 18th / early 19th century Oak Dresser with plate rack, the rack having moulded cornice, three plate shelves and waterfall sides with a single lower backboard. The base having single plank top with bull nose moulded edge, above three frieze drawers with Pine lined drawers and dove tailed lining, thumb nail moulded fronts with original knobs and Ivory rhomboid escutcheons, all standing on gradually tapering square legs. Plate rack measures 75`` wide at cornice x 50`` high x 7`` deep at deepest point. The base measuring 73 1/2`` wide x 34`` high
A high quality 19c. walnut and metal inlaid travelling companion, the shaped body hinging in three places to reveal an embroidered section containing two ivory writing implements, oak open pigeon holes and embroidered writing slope with further sections for two ink bottles (complete with gilt metal lids). 27cms high.
