A GEORGE III TEA URN of vase form, the pull-off circular lid with pineapple finial, bone/ivory mounted carrying handles, the body applied with ribbon swags and Bacchus masks, also engraved with a coat of arms, fluted tap terminating in a mask spout, the whole on a square pierced base, engraved with a presentation inscription, on a pierced foot, later drilled for electricity, possibly by Thomas Jackson, London 1771, 18" high (c.96oz). A Victorian 9 ct gold garnet set brooch, a 19th century carved ivory brooch and various other gold coloured metal and Pinchbeck brooches (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: All these brooches are in good order. The ivory one shows signs of re-gluing to the rear and has been re-soldered at the clasp. The brooch set with pearls and green stones has signs of soldering to the rear as does the larger of the rope twist ones and the large hardstone brooch. The clasp on the large hardstone brooch is jammed shut as are the clasps on the two smaller twist brooches.
