An early 20th Century Thai silver tea set, comprising teapot, a sugar basin and cover, a milk jug and oval tray with inscription, each piece chased in relief with a Bodhisattva, stamped on bases 'Alex & Co, Sterling 925, Made in Thailand, 784.7 grams (3) the inscription reads: TO THE PRIME MINISTER MR. HAROLD WILSON FROM POTE SARASIN DUPUTY PRIME MINISTER OF THAILANDCONDITION:stamped good, general condition good, the teapot with ivory insulators
^ Large Silver Mounted Indian or Nepalese Presentation Kukri, c 1940, well made blade stamped with dots WITH BEST COMPLIMENTS TO COL.A.R.NYE FROM 3 A.R, ivory hilt, in its silver mounted leather covered sheath, locket pierced and deeply chiselled with a stylised face, pair of snakes, flowers and foliage, silver rectangle stamped PRESENTED TO COL. A.R. NYE, silver wire belt, leather pocket contains ivory handled companion knife and chuk muk. Blade 32.5cms, overall 46cms. Good condition, leather pouch detached but present. Capt. A R Nye, Prince of Wales’s Own Gurkha Rifles, Gazetted 8/9/1933 for Chitral Relief Oct. 1932.

^ Good Quality and Very Unusual Chinese Carved Ivory Dagger, 19th Century or Earlier, straight swollen double edge blade, ivory hilt finely carved with a dragon on each side, 2 smaller dragons around the pommel which is fitted with a small brass button, and with stylised archaic face at the root of the hilt, in its carved ivory sheath with incised geometric decoration, 2 indicated suspension bands each with a small hanging loop (one incomplete). Good condition. Overall 32cms
^ Large Ottoman Silver Mounted Sword Shamshir, mid-19th century, broad curved single edge Persian watered steel blade cut with assorted fullers and with gold inlaid cartouche ‘Servant of the King of Trusteeship (i.e. Ali), (Shah) Abbas’ together with pairs of split palmettes separating the interrupted fullers, extensive silver mounts all struck with tughras and extensive control marks (possibly Egyptian), 2 piece ivory grips, engraved crosspiece, scabbard mounts chased with foliage. Good condition. Blade 81cms.
^ Good Indian Sword Shamshir, early 19th century, curved single edge watered steel blade of Indian Qum pattern, iron crosspiece and hilt mounts extensively covered with gold damascened flowering foliage, 2 piece ivory grips carved in low relief with flowering foliage and scales, in its scabbard covered with black leather tooled with diagonal bands of lotus flowers. Good condition, well-executed later leather mouthpiece to scabbard. Blade 78cms.
^ Good Indian Sword Shamshir, early 19th century, curved single edge wootz steel blade with the ‘Indian ricasso’, iron crosspiece and hilt mounts gold damascened with geometric borders and devices, 2 piece ivory grips, fabric tassel retained by silver wire binding, in its black leather-covered string-work decorated scabbard with 2 iron hanging bands gold damascened en-suite. Good condition. Blade 80cms.
^ Rare Indian Ivory Hilted Dagger Chilanum from Rajasthan, early 18th century, slender curved shallow diamond section watered steel blade with gold damascened flower and foliage at forte, ivory hilt carved with foliage, swollen grip with down-turned leaves in low relief, pommel carved with a pair of lotus flowers on each side and with a lotus bud button. Good condition, good patina. Blade 28cms. This dagger belongs to a group found in armouries in Rajasthan, including Jodhpur and Jaipur, all of which are united by the presence of acanthus at the base of each grip
^ Unusually Large Indian Dagger Pesh Kabz, T-section wootz steel blade etched along the back edge with an inscription in Arabic (not translated), gripstrap gold damascened with flowering foliage, 2 piece ivory grips of good colour and patina, pierced silver toggle to pommel button. Good condition. Blade 39cms.
^ Indian Dagger Pesh Kabz, late 19th century, T-section blade, engraved nickel gripstrap, 4 piece ivory grips (1 chipped) in its leather-covered sheath; Iraqi dagger jambya, curved double edge blade with central ridge, black horn hilt, in its leather sheath with brass chape; Syrian dagger shabrya, pointed blade etched with small roundel, bone grips, nickel sheath and hilt band; and a decorative Indian jambya with plated copper mounts (late 20th century). Blades 27cms, 19cms, 16cms, and 16cms respectively. Good condition, some age wear overall.

^ Good Scarce Afghan Dagger Pesh Kabz from Herat, first half of the 19th century, T-section curved single edge wootz steel blade with thick gold damascened decoration including a vase of flowers, and a pair of birds inhabiting flowering foliage on both sides, back edge and gripstrap with a reticulated pattern of flower heads within a frame of shaped leaves, thickened point, 2 piece ivory grips, hinged iron toggle to pommel button, in its black ass skin covered sheath with silver mounts chased with flowering foliage, bud-shaped finial. Good condition, damascene worn to backstrap. Blade 29cms.
^ Scarce Moghul Recurved Steel Bow Koman, 18th or 19th Century, of plain steel with riveted hardwood grips covered with brocade, original sinew string; together with a rare Moghul leather quiver, belt and tassels of similar date, covered with red velvet and bullion embroidered with flowers and foliage, containing 20 Indian reed arrows of similar date comprising 17 with katar-shaped iron heads and 3 with leaf-shaped heads, each with an ivory nock, bands of silver, chequered ivory and ebony surrounding the head tangs, and assorted painted decoration around the (missing) flights. Good condition. Bow 102.5cms.
^ Good 16-Bore Indian Matchlock Gun Torador from Rajasthan, 18th or 19th Century, barrel finely chiselled with repeated lotus blossom design and foliage, the breech partly gilt and chiselled with Durga astride lion, muzzle fully gilt with stylised animal’s head within flowering foliage, wooden fullstock with some ivory inlay including stringing, pair of ducks, flower heads, inlaid foliage at butt, ebonised block behind breech with row of flower heads, chained pricker and pan cover, steel foliate trigger and stock sides, one deeply pricked with a long inscription (not translated), iron ramrod. Good condition, some age wear. Overall 184.5cms.
^ Good Quality 26-Bore Indian Matchlock Gun Torador from Rajasthan, early 19th century, etched damascus twist barrel with punched armoury inscription (not translated), fluted sighting rib, fluted slightly swollen muzzle, open rearsight, chained pan cover, iron lock sides with punched decoration to borders, stock inlaid with a pair of ivory ducks, pierced devices and with ivory panels in front of the wooden buttcap, iron ramrod. Good condition, breech pin missing. Overall 154cms.
^ Good Quality Indian Kukri, first half of the 20th century, swollen single edge blade, 2 piece grips each made from 2 layers of horn and ivory, brass pommel, in its leather covered sheath with foliate embossed nickel mounts including locket with 2 kirtimukha masks and a bird with 4 turquoise beads. Blade 30cms, overall 42cms. Good condition.
