A DING KLINS LOTUS-BUD EWER OF WHITE STONEWARE五代 定窯白釉浮雕蓮瓣壺China, Five Dynasties The small ewer is delicately potted, of well-rounded ovoid shape, very slightly flared at the mouth. It rests on a low foot and has a short polygonal spout and a flat strap handle. The tips of six lotus petals are applied around the body, with fan-shaped motifs suggesting stamens impressed between, and three horizontal lines are incised around the shoulder. A VERY RARE DING KILNS CARVED WHITE STONEWARE BOWL北宋 定窯刻花牡丹紋葵口碗China, Northern Song Dynasty The bowl has steep conical sides, with six indentations and a matching lobed rim. On the inside is a carved peony spray with two large, elaborately drawn blooms, the petals and leaves of which have curly edges and combed veins.
