A collector's lot to include a Victorian walnut glove box, a small wooden needle case, a tortoise shell, silver and niello snuff box (af), a walnut snuff box in the shape of a guitar (af), a sovereign case in the form of a small purse, a nutmeg grater in the form of an acorn with ivory decoration, a diary written in German for Maria Leilwe, 1887 and three small mauchline ware boxes with scenes of the Isle of Man etc.
A crossbanded mahogany sewing box, early 19th century, with lift-out compartments over a base drawer, the fitted interior enclosing numerous ivory tools including a needle case, tatting shuttle, thread barrels, winding clamps, spools and thimbles, with various patterns, 37cm wide 30.5cm deep 12cm high CONDITION REPORT: Splits to lid. Some discolouration. Replaced knob to drawer. Minor veneer loss. Extensive collection of tools, but incomplete.
A good Victorian walnut cased drawing instrument set, by Stanley, 3 Great Turnstile, London, in a brass bound burr walnut box, the hinged cover with an engraved plaque enclosing two lift-out trays with ivory-handled steel instruments, stamped 'Stanley', boxwood rules, and other accoutrements, over a base drawer, with watercolours, 36.5cm wide 19cm deep 17.5cm high CONDITION REPORT: Box good condition. Instruments largely complete. Two rules damaged. No optical instruments, mirror or camera lucida.

The ovoid form silver purse measuring approximately 55 x 45 x 32 mm, suspended from a blue nylon cord, has a pressure lock thumb piece that opens to reveal an ivory backed mirror with thumb piece opening to compartment half, the other half opens by two textured plates to a small and a larger compartment. The purse featuring a fish scale pattern and fleur de lys motif of royal blue, red, green and gold moire enamel, attached is a blue nylon tassel hidden silver lipstick tube, completed by a hidden pull out retractable pencil. {Gross Weight: 144.5 dwts} Note: Some loss to enamel.
A late nineteenth century Cantonese carved ivory fan. Decorated with figures on pierced grounds. Eighteen sticks including the guards, 19cm. Condition Report : Some loss throughout to the pierced strands. One blade with a crack to the outer rim. Overall in fair condition. Ribbons missing that hold the fan as one.
An antique ivory tusk hunting horn. The mouthpiece issues from a wild boars mouth, the main body is elaborately carved with a boar hunting scene over a frieze with a boar and deer on scrollwork bands then with a Royal coat of arms and commemorative roundel portrait plaque of King George I dated 1714, 57cm. Condition Report : Some natural hair cracking. Small pieces broken from the rim of the wider opening and re glued.
