A Victorian 1831 Pattern General Officer’s mameluke sword, 83.5cm curved blade with clipped back point by EDW. THURKLE 5, DENMARK ST. SOHO LONDON, etched with scrolling foliage, crowned VR cypher and crossed swords and batons, regulation brass hilt, the crossguard embossed with crossed swords and batons within laurel wreaths, two-piece riveted ivory grips, contained in its steel scabbard. Clean, bright blade.
A good 1831 Pattern General Officer’s sword, 80.5cm curbed blade with clipped back point, crisply etched with scrolling foliage, laurel wreaths, crowned VR cyphers and crossed swords and batons, regulation gilt hilt, the cross guard chased with acanthus scrolls and crossed swords and batons within laurel wreaths, two-piece riveted ivory grips, contained in its brass scabbard (one dent), complete with knot and chamois bag. Retains most of its matt etched ground.
Fine quality late 19th / early 20th century French carriage clock with eight day repeat movement and alarm striking on a gong, lever escapement, back plate signed - Chas, Frodsham & Co. Ltd. no. 20339 Paris, white enamel dial signed - Chas. Frodsham 115 New Bond Street no. 20339 Paris, with Roman numerals and outer minute ring and subsidiary alarm dial, in a gilt metal Gorge case no. 34380, with swing handle and repeat button underside with strike silent lever, together with a custom made, purple velvet-lined and brass bound wooden travelling case, with exterior repeat buttons and concealed swing handle, side mounted locking mechanism marked ouvert and fermé and stamped - Deposé no. 9734 and another non-related wooden case, clock 16cm overall height including handle (key present in wooden case). Charles Frodsham is recorded at 115 New Bond Street between 1896 and 1914 (4) CONDITION REPORT General overall condition very good. Movement is dirty and escapement is tarnished but we believe it to be in working order. Dial is also dirty but undamaged. One small mark on right hand side towards lower corner. Gilding on case is worn but otherwise is good. Custom made case is very good. Brass lock retaining bar in cover is loose. Velvet lining is marked where clock sits. Ivory plaque on cover is clean and may have had number or name removed. Non-related case is quite good condition. Lock is missing and case has some damage where lock was fitted. Blue felt lining has some moth damage

Victorian fruit knife and fork set for twelve place settings, with foliate engraved silver blades and ivory handles, in a fitted mahogany case (London 1893), John Aldwinckle & Thomas Slater CONDITION REPORT Elephant Ivory- One fork has a split in the handle approx 2cm in length. Two knives have splits in the handle, one approx 0.5cm, the other approx 2.5cm in length. Both knives and forks do have some patches of discolouration on handles. All tines present and unbroken, a couple are slightly bent. Knives show little sign of use

Two deep scratches near fastener and fastener is pitted. Decoration is good. Interior clean and undamaged. Pencil in good condition. Marks clear. Case in good condition, some surface scuffing. Interior clean. Lifting ribbon damaged
