A 19th Century Northern European carved Ivory lidded Tankard, the hinged cover surmounted by a putto, clasping an apple, to a lobed rim and scrolling thumb piece, to a deep relief carved body depicting a neo-classical scene, including Bacchus and Mercury, robed warriors and male and female figures, with Cupid and a peacock, to a fruiting and foliate band to the base, and applied side mounted handle of scrolling form and decorated with a scantily clad maiden, height 11"
A cased percussion pocket pistol by Louis B, A Paris, 6cm plated barrel with ring turned muzzle, faceted plated frame with spur trigger, the hammer stamped HAND FORGED, two-piece plain ivory grips, contained in its close fitted plum coloured velvet lined case, complete with white metal sykes flask, bullet mould, one turned ivory lidded compartment and one further velvet covered compartment lid with ivory button handle, the lid with paper trade label LOUIS B ARG.R DU TIR NATIONAL 24 RUE DE RIVOLI A PARIS.
* A FRANCOIS GAULTIER SWIVEL-HEAD FASHIONABLE DOLL with fixed blue glass eyes, closed mouth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig on cork pate, bisque shoulders, gusseted kid body, pink and black checked jacket, ivory ribbed silk with black velvet trim decorated with pink ribbed silk and blue flowers, brooch, finger ring, black shoes and underclothes, impressed 1, 1870s, 14in. (35.5cm) high (pink silk perishing).

†A fine cased Belgian 6 shot 12mm open frame DA PF revolver, 10½" overall, octagonal barrel 6¼" stamped at the breech "Lefaucheux Bte, Acier Fondu", the frame numbered 49960 and with external halfcock spring on the right side, the barrel, cylinder, frame, grip strap and trigger guard profusely overlaid in gold with scrolls, tendrils and lines, the barrel also with "Bertonnet en Buenos Ayres" in panels, bag shaped butt with lanyard ring and plain ivory grips. GWO & C (some surface rust, a few pieces of gold overlay missing), in its original rosewood veneered case, the brass bound lid also with inlaid brass lines and escutcheon, the lid lining gold impressed "Betonnet, Calle San Martin 50, on Buenos Ayres", containing GS mounted ebony cleaning rod with ivory finial, pewter lined ebony oil bottle with ivory dipper finial, and replacement screwdriver. West Cornwall Railway Ivory First Class Pass. Issued to C.P. Charlton Esq. March 1865 and bearing the Chairman`s name Louis Vigars. Oval ivory measuring 1?" x 1¼" with a small, hooped clasp affixed to the top edge. Accompanying is an A4 sheet detailing a potted biography of Charles Pearson Charlton. He was a railway ordnance surveyor starting his career in York. He worked on a variety of projects including the Wakefield to Doncaster line and the Ribblehead viaduct. Some time around the date of the pass, he moved to Penzance and became Clerk to the Directors of the WCR, later becoming Superintendant working on the joining of the GWR at Redruth with some connections with Brunel. Having later emigrated to Turkey and contracting TB, he returned to Scarborough and purchased the Britannia Hotel. A most wonderful item of significant historical importance.
