An early 19th century silver and ivory desk seal, unmarked, the flat topped pommel form turned handle banded to the waist and base, the rectangular matrix engraved with a three-towered fort beneath a crest, 9cm (3in) long. This seems to be an unidentified official seal of a civic authority official, so many of them in the UK and in Europe were based on exactly this pattern. As they were of local adoption they do not appear in the directories.
