Manchester United Player's Contract for Samuel R Bennion for season 1921-22,drawn up on behalf of MUFC by the Club Secretary John Robson, an agreement for the player to be paid £5 per week, also bonuses for wins and draws, and the ability to work elsewhere if not required for club duties, an unsigned file copy The Welsh half-back Samuel Bennion was born in Wrexham 1st September 1896. He transferred to United from Charlton Athletic in April 1921, so this is Bennion’s first contract at the club. He stayed at Old Trafford until 1932 when after 301 appearances he was transferred to Burnley.
