Note Biography: Born Edinburgh, he studied at the Edinburgh College of Art and he was awarded Carnegie travelling Scholarship and The Guthrie ward. He worked in Edinburgh before moving to St Ives in the late 1920s He frequently painted and etched depicting figures in a landscape or a town setting in an individual and often experimental style-he exhibited at Royal Academy, Royal Scottish Academy and Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolours
