A 14ct yellow gold pendant with matching ring, each in the form of a hand holding a posy, set with four round rubies and five round brilliant cut diamonds around the sleeve of each hand, ruby dimensions between approx 2 x 1.3mm and 2.5 x 1.3mm, total weight estimated as 0.10 carats, diamond diameters between approx 1.3 and 1.35mm, total weight estimated as 0.08 carats, pendant length 38mm, ring size R, gross weight 10.7g, both hallmarked 14ct, London import 1990, sponsor LILdMinor scratches to the ring commensurate with wear. Small hairline crack in the shank near the maker's mark.
Four unframed watercolours to include Loch by W. Moore, a thatched cottage with figure walking down the path signed E.J. Hughes, A River Scene by R Allen, a wooden framed watercolour depicting a stable interior with figures and dogs, horse eating from a trough. No signature 24 1/2" x 18 3/4".
Nameplate HARDWICK GRANGE ex GWR Collett Grange Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1936 as order number 308 and numbered 6818. Allocated to Carmarthen, Llanelli and 86B Ebbw Junction from where it was withdrawn in April 1964 and scrapped at Birds, Risca, Newport. In very good lightly cleaned condition with R 6818 stamped in the back indicating this is the right hand side plate. The Grange was near Abergavenny.
Worksplate RAVENGLASS AND ESKDALE RAILWAY BUILT KERR STUART 1900 REBUILT RAVENGLASS 1996. This Kerr Stuart loco was built in 1900 as a 2ft gauge 0-4-0 WT for Dundee Gas Commissioners. Sold in 1960 and donated in 1976 to the Ravenglass and Eskdale where it was re-gauged to 15in with side tanks and became a 0-4-2 and numbered 11 in the R&ER fleet. Rebuilt again as a tender loco in 1996 when this plate was added. Currently on loan to the Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway. Oval engraved brass in as removed condition measures 4.25in x 2.75in.
Worksplate R & W HAWTHORN LESLIE & CO LTD ENGINEERS NEWCASTLE ON TYNE ENGLAND 3699 1928. Ex LNER Gresley N2 0-6-2T numbered 2670, 9576 and BR 69576. Allocated to 34A Kings Cross and withdrawn from there in July 1959 and scrapped. Oval cast brass in as removed condition with 1206 stamped in the back. Measures 10.125in x 6.125in.
Nameplate BUILTH CASTLE ex Great Western Railway Collett Castle 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1925 as order number 232 and numbered 4086. Allocations included Laira, Worcester, Carmarthen, Cardiff Canton, Stafford Road and 81D Reading from where it was withdrawn in April 1962 and scrapped at Cashmore's (Newport). In lightly cleaned original condition and stamped in the back LOT 232 No4 R indicating this is the right hand plate.
Great Northern Railway 8in mahogany cased fusee railway clock by John Walker of London. The English wire driven fusee movement has rectangular plates and turned pillars and is in good clean condition. The mahogany case has one side door and a bottom door secured with a brass lock and is in nicely restored condition and retains its original cast brass bezel. The dial has been restored by Dr D.R. Parr from its later BR dial writing and clock number 10583 and now displays its original dial writing and the clock number GNR 905. The LNER clock records confirm that clock No 10583 was originally GNR 905 and was in use at Saxilby Kesteven Sidings Cabin. A nice 19th century Walker timepiece In full working order complete with pendulum, keys, copy of the clock record and detailed fact sheet of its restoration by Dr. D. R. Parr.
Worksplate R & W HAWTHORN LESLIE & CO LTD ENGINEERS NEWCASTLE ON TYNE ENGLAND 2611 1905. Ex 0-6-0ST new to Nailstone Colliery Co. Ltd, Nailstone, Leics and named No 2 PHOENIX. Later moved to Whitwick Colliery, and Donisthorpe Colliery. Scrapped by John Cashmore Ltd Great Bridge in 1968. Oval cast brass face lightly cleaned, measures 12in x 7.75in. A pattern that was only used for a few years.
Shedplate 87C Danygraig 1949-January 1960 for steam, March 1964 totally. This ex R&SBR shed was home to an exotic collection of pre-grouping tank engines throughout it BR days when its total allocation was never more than 30 locos. In original condition with clear Swindon casting marks in the edge and rear.
Worksplate LNER 9x5 L & N E R 1731 DONCASTER WORKS 1914 ex Gresley Great Northern Railway K2/1 2-6-0. Numbered GNR 1641, LNER 4641, 1731 and BR 61731. Allocated to New England, Colwick, Boston and 62A Thornton Junction from where it was withdrawn in June 1959 and scrapped at Motherwell Machinery & Scrap, Wishaw. Oval cast brass in as removed condition measures 9in x 5in.
Nameplate GROTRIAN HALL ex GWR Collett Hall Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1933 as order number 281 and numbered 5926. Allocated to St Blazey, Laira, Stafford Road, Tyseley and 84C Banbury from where it was withdrawn in September 1962 and scrapped at Cashmore's Great Bridge. In as removed condition rear stamped R 5926 indicating this is the right hand plate. The Hall was in Wigmore Street London W1.
Worksplate ANDREW BARCLAY SONS & CO LTD CALEDONIA WORKS KILMARNOCK No 459 1960 ex British Railways Class 06 0-4-0 DM numbered D2432. Allocated new to 66C Hamilton and withdrawn from 65A Eastfield in December 1968 and sold to The locomotive was sold to R. E. Trem & Company, Finningley, near Doncaster. They in turn sold it to Shipbreaking (Queenborough), Queenborough, Isle of Sheppey, Kent it remained in use there until it was exported to Italy in March 1977. Oval cast aluminium with some original paint left on the front, measures 9.75in x 7.25in.
