1948 AUSTRALIAN CRICKET AUTOGRAPHS a small autograph album, one page with various signatures from the 1948 Australia touring side. Including Bradman, Lindwall, McCool, Johnson, Loxton, Brown, Harvey, Tallon, Archer, Miller, etc, with writing at the top of the page, With the exception of Ernie Toshack (in hospital) below are the members of the Australian touring team in England 1948, these were obtained for me by K R Miller 14/9/48, Hassett is also missing. Also with some cricket postcards, Joe Hardstaff booklet, and a book with hand written scorecards and reports on various Australian matches at home and abroad.
CASED MICROSCOPE & MICROSCOPE SLIDES - BECK an interesting brass microscope by R & J Beck, the folding microscope with an adjustable base to set at differing angles, marked R & J Beck, 9252, London and Philadelphia, and in a fitted mahogany case and various lenses. Also with a box containing 36 various slides (insects, chemicals etc) some with professional labels including HMS Challenger, 1875. (2)

A collection of pre-WWII Second World War RAF items, all related to a G. Viel, to include: a 1940's leather brief case with initials G. V. to the front, 'Meteorology for Aviators' by R. C. Sutcliffe (1940) along with a RAF 'Observers and Air Gunners' flying log book stating that G. Viel qualified as Air Navigator and Bomb Aimer with effect from 25.9.40 (including a log of hours training in aviation), along with the Air Ministry Manual of Air Navigation Vol. 1 (1940). Fascinating collection.
A rare original Avro Lancaster ' D. R. Compass Mk 1 - Pilot's Repeater ' navigators compass. Various Air Ministry markings to the rear. Supplied within its original and correct stores box, with serial number. Autographed exclusively for this auction by last surviving British Dambuster George Johnny Johnson (signed on the compass glass itself and the outer box). Rare. Framed and mounted beneath an image of Mirfin and crew on their Goodwill Tour of America in 1947, and a small panel detailing Mirfin's service. The patch can be seen on Mirfin's jacket. Framed.
