Original Oil Paintings, qty 3 comprising:- LMS liveried Jubilee 5671 Prince Rupert by John R. Mason. An accurate depiction by this unlisted artist, c1970's. Measures approximately 28" x 24" in its un-glazed frame; 4956 Plowden Hall and Jubilee 5695 Minotaur at Bristol Temple Meads Station in 1938 by John Mason. Measures 33½" x 23" in frame. Good quality from an unknown artist; Bredon Station on the Birmingham - Gloucester main line, by John Mason dated 1976. This is a going away view of 6028 King George VI and an unidentified Jubilee coming south into the station. The view shows clearly the up platform waiting room (still in situ in 2007) and the old entrance to the platform. Considerable artistic licence as King class locos never ran this line in steam days. Measures 40½" x 28¼" in wooden frame. Good quality from an unknown artist.
* Poster, British Railways D/R "Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire" Tranquil scene of a couple of small rowboats on the river beside an old malt house and a few cottages. From a painting by Edward Wessom. Published by British Railways Eastern Region ref no. PP1165 and printed by Jordison Ltd., London & Middlesborough. Some edge creasing and a 2" square piece missing from bottom right corner. This has take off the 'UGH' of the word Middlesborough so doesn't really detract.
* Poster, 'Post Office Savings Bank - The Post Office, Port Isaac, Cornwall' Almost D/R size, the central image is an early view from down on the beach that is bedecked with period cars and boats, looking up to the cliff top shops with a prominent Post Office of course. Extremely good condition.

The message conveyed is about the dangers of loose tools causing controls to jam. A scarce poster in reasonable condition. Stevens and Sons of London early 20th century, set with a maker's plaque on the arched pediment top, designed with a blackboard, two score rollers and slides and counters, some ivorine markers and slide buttons missing, 67.5 by 81cm., 26 1/2 by 32in.
