R Jones (Wimbledon Park) small scare head persimmon spoon with full brass sole plate and a similar light stained scare neck bulger driver - both with good full length leather grips. (2) Note: R. Jones was born 1872 and was runner up in the 1905 Open and played for England v Scotland Int. matches from 1903 - 1913 and was one of the original members of the PGA.
R Forgan St Andrews deep faced golden beech wood long nosed spoon c1885 the head measures 4.5" x 1 3/8 face x 1.75" and stamped with maker's powf to the head, full wrap over brass sole plate and the maker's shaft stamp just below the full length high grip and underlisting. Overall length 42 inches. Illus.
