A Louis Vuitton brass mounted leather bound trunk, c.1910, numbered 137426, with LV covering and tooled leather mounts, the interior with original lining trays and labelled for 1 Rue Scribe Paris / 149 New Bond Street, London, 75cm wide, 43cm deep, 54cm high***CONDITION REPORT***Overall with a rather darkish colour, wear to the lid particularly the centre where perhaps a vase or similar has been placed upon it, brass work all looks present if a little oxidised and rubbed, leather work with old dents and scuffs throughout, both sides have been painted with the initial R, all the sides show some scuffing and rubbing and the original leather strap retainer running up the front has now lost its leather work, internally some water stains most notably to the inside of the quilted lid which has some small losses to the quilted strapwork, internal upper tray with staining and discolouration, lower basket tray equally discoloured but looks intact, no key present.PLEASE NOTE:- Prospective buyers are strongly advised to examine personally any goods in which they are interested BEFORE the auction takes place.
