Recipient was attached to the 122nd Company Machine Gun Corps, and died on October 6th 1916, at which time the Company was in action on Transloy Ridge.
"Camaret", Rene Lalique frosted glass Lamp circa 1930's, decorated in relief with alternating bands of stylised fish, etched R Lalique, France mark to underside of circular foot rim, now fitted as a lamp, approx. 15cm high (not including brass light fitting) CONDITION REPORT: Etched 'R Lalique France'. Mark to underside of foot rim. Very minor scratching to underside of foot rim otherwise appears in OK condition, apart from a small 1cm chip coming from underneath metal collar. Base drilled for lamp wire, see images.

Décédé en sa maison de Passy le 13 novembre 1868, Rossini fut d’abord inhumé au cimetière du Père Lachaise après des obsèques grandioses à l’église de La Trinité ; sa dépouille mortelle sera transférée en Italie en 1887, et repose dans la basilique Santa-Croce à Florence.

Édition originale illustrée d’un titre gravé et de 7 planches dépliantes lithographiées par Engelmann : instruments du peintre, chevalets, châssis, palettes, pinceaux, etc. Ancien élève de l’Académie de Paris, Bouvier fut membre de la société des arts de Genève. Presented to Mr R H Hall Second mate SS Trevessa:, black three circle frame with silvered arc, sighting tube and mirrors in a fitted case, brass plaque to top inscribed, `Present by The Brixham Baptist Church Mr R H Hall, second Mate SS Trevessa As a memento of the providential deliverance of the crew after exposure in open boats in mid-ocean for 26 days and of his skill in handling the second boat Psalm XVIII-16 1923` also together with a copy of `17000 miles in open boats the voyages of the Trevessa lifeboats` by Cecil Foster Captain of the Trevessa * Note- In 1923 the Hain Line steamer SS Trevessa was bound for Western Australia with a cargo of zinc concentrates when she sank on 4 June after taking on water. As the zinc concentrates absorbed water they formed a tick paste that made the bilge pumps ineffective and hastened the sinking of the ship and she sank within fifteen minutes. Her Captain Cecil Foster and Second Mate Mr Hall took to two lifeboats with the remaining crew and spent the next 26 days rowing towards shore eventually landing at Rodriguez Island and Bel-Ombre, Mauritius. Of the 44 crew 34 survived the open sea and the story of their survival became the biggest news story of the year.
