After major success in wars, Peter the Great turned the tide against Charles XII who met his end fighting against Norway. Who ordered this commemorative bowl to be made is something of a puzzle

THE FOLLOWING TWO LOTS RELATE TO THE CAREER OF BOBBY TEMPLETON Robert Templeton was born on 22nd June 1879 and started his footballing career with Irvine Heatherbell before joining Westmount Juveniles. Thereafter there were periods with Kilmarnock Roslyn, Neilston Victoria and Kilmarnock Rugby XI before joining Aston Villa in May 1898. In February 1903 he joined Newcastle United and in December 1904 Woolwich Arsenal. On 17th May 1906 Celtic signed the `Wizard of Dribble` and made his league debut in a match against Kilmarnock on 25th August that year. He won his only major trophies with Celtic when they won the `Double` in season 1906-07 before being transferred to Kilmarnock in October 1907. Between 1902 and 1913 Templeton made 11 full international appearances for Scotland and 3 for the Scottish League. In august 1913 he joined Fulham and after a brief return to Kilmarnock he retired from playing in 1915.
